CatBook helps you care for your cats: their everyday care, their health and whatever you want to remember.

What you log about your cats and their photos stays on your iPhone. CatBook doesn't require an account. Purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat.

1. How the app works

CatBook stores your cats' profiles, their routines, what you mark as done, their health records, your notes and your photos in a database inside the app, on your iPhone. It doesn't upload them to any server of its own or offer shared accounts. Care reminders are scheduled on the iPhone itself.

2. Data we handle

On your iPhone

  • Each cat's profile (name, photo or illustration, date of birth), their routines and what you mark as done, their health records (notes, weight, vet visits, medication, vaccines and deworming), the notes and photos you add, and your preferences (theme, language, units and reminders).
  • Photos are only the ones you choose with the system photo picker.

In-app purchases

  • Payments are processed by Apple. We don't receive or store your payment details.
  • Apple provides the transaction information needed to verify your purchase or subscription.

RevenueCat (purchase management)

  • RevenueCat processes CatBook Pro purchases through the App Store and verifies them. RevenueCat receives:
    • An anonymous App User ID generated by its SDK.
    • App Store receipts and purchased products (for example, the subscription, its start and end dates and its status).
    • Purchase metadata and minimal technical data to prevent fraud (for example, the iOS and SDK versions).
  • We don't send RevenueCat your name, your email or any other personal data. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for details.
  • Through RevenueCat we use Apple's attribution (AdServices) to know whether an install came from an Apple Ads campaign, without requesting the advertising identifier (IDFA).

App Store

If you write to us

  • If you email support or use “Feature request”, we receive your email address and your message in our inbox. We only use them to reply to you and improve the app.

3. What we don't do

  • CatBook doesn't show third-party ads or sell your data.

4. Retention and control

  • You can delete any record in the app, or everything from Settings → Erase data. Erasing your data doesn't cancel an Apple subscription or remove the transaction records kept by Apple or RevenueCat. Subscriptions are managed from your Apple Account.
  • If you back up your iPhone, the backup may include the app's data.
  • For any request about your purchase data or the emails you've sent us, write to us.

5. Security

Data is stored on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection. Photos are resized and stored only inside the app's own storage.

6. Children

CatBook is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
